Aston VIlla keeper Brad Guzan, Villarreal’s Jozy Alitore and Brian McBride are the biggest names to be picked for the U.S. Olympic team heading to Beijing next month.
The 18-man roster was selected today by US Soccer.
McBride is the most senior member on the side. The out of contract striker retired from international play after earning 95 caps. Guzan and Michael Parkhurst are the other two senior picks for the squad.
Six different MLS teams are represented with Houston Dynamo, Real Salt Lake and Toronto FC each sending a pair of players to Beijing. The U.S. open play with Japan on August 7.
